In the backdrop of United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 3, the program is geared towards ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being at all ages
Pune, September 21 2021 – Quest Global, a global product engineering and lifecycle services company, announced the launch of its COVID-19 vaccine awareness program for the underserved communities of Baner and Baliwadi areas of Pune. Launched in collaboration with Y4D Foundation, the initiative will have three major activities:
- Vaccine awareness drive: The awareness drive aims to motivate the underserved people to get vaccinated for Covid-19. The company along with Y4D will educate the residents through individual counseling and through the use of audio-visual aids.
- Healthcare Camps: Primary healthcare camps will be set up in the areas that will allow the residents to avail primary healthcare services and receive free health consultation. These camps will also spread awareness about precautionary measures for Covid-19 and other communicable diseases.
- Covid-19 support kits: The initiative will also include distribution of Covid-19 support kits for the frontline workers.
In the current times, it is important that such initiatives reach a larger section of the society and provide maximum benefits. Aligning the initiative with United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 3, Quest Global and Y4D have spread the program across eight months, where the initial activities for the campaign started in August 2021. In this duration, there will be periodic vaccine awareness drives and health camps. With the first health camp being organized today, the area will have 4 health camps, one every 2 months till March 2021. By the end of eight months, the initiative will have more than 1000 beneficiaries.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Mahesh Borge, Donor relation officer, Y4D said, “This initiative is aimed at improving the existing level of awareness amongst people who belong to the lesser privileged section of the society and propagate required information to them in order to promote better health and wellbeing. We are happy that Quest Global too believes in this and has partnered with us to help us spread awareness amongst these resurgent communities. We will ensure our combined efforts bring a positive impact in the lives of these people.”
Quest Global and Y4D Foundation expect a healthy society in the long run and are putting efforts in the same direction to achieve the desired goal. Quest Global has been supporting frontline workers since the start of the pandemic which included a vaccination drive for police officers in Trivandrum. In the past, the company has donated personal hygiene kits and sponsored Covid-19 tests for police personnel in Bengaluru.
