Customer Challenge
Planning support was required to assist in the development of a rolling stock manufacturing project.
The project was split into five stages and was already being worked upon when Quest Global got involved.
The challenge was to bring activities together in a highly organised way, across all different operational categories, with proper governance put into place.
Scope
- Update an existing baseline schedule prepared in a MS Project file.
- Then use this data to prepare a schedule (Level 2 ) in Primavera 6 software.
- Assign resources.
- Allocate budget units in the Primavera 6 schedule.
Solution
- Proper tracking of the project critical path was carried out by our teams.
- We decided on a clear central logic that would run throughout the schedule.
- Resource scheduling was done in a way that was able to be checked against budget.
