Gregory L Smith

Greg is a global partner at KPMG where he leads some of their largest multi-national clients and growthoriented Private Equity backed companies. Over the course of his career, he has led the development and delivery of Audit, Tax and Advisory services, and was a Founding Partner of KPMG’s Private Equity practice. Greg has worked on the development and roll-out of KPMG’s national tax strategy for the Americas and was also part of the team that developed KPMG’s International Strategy and Global Accounts Program.

Greg started his career in 1983 with Arthur Andersen & Co.’s Oil & Gas Tax Practice in Houston, where he rose to be a member of their National Oil & Gas Leadership team, and was a co-author of their Oil and Gas Taxation Manual. Throughout his 36 years in the public accounting domain, Greg has held leadership positions, aligning the operating models with results, and identifying value creation opportunities.

Greg is a member of Quest Global’s Board of Directors and Audit Committee and oversees the company’s financial reporting process and related internal controls including the independent auditor, the internal audit function, and the company’s compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Greg holds as Masters in Accountancy and Taxation from the University of Houston and is an Eagle Scout.
