They aimed to replace a board with discrete components with an application-specific single-chip solution to reduce costs, extend product life, and add new functions to the existing device.

The client lacked ASIC design experience in-house and needed a partner who could ensure uninterrupted silicon device delivery for the next decade and handle IP selection and integration.
